Olenex plans expansion into speciality fats solutions
Olenex to extend speciality fats capabilities in Zaandam, The Netherlands
Rolle, Switzerland, January 11, 2021 – Olenex has announced plans to extend capabilities in speciality fats solutions by building a new plant in Zaandam, The Netherlands. The new facility will feature a product development centre, packaging capabilities, and a customer experience centre.
Olenex began as a partnership between ADM and Wilmar International Limited in 2012 to market oils and fats products in Europe. “This new plant represents an important milestone in our Olenex growth strategy by expanding our current footprint and increasing our offering to further strengthen customer relationships,” says Remond van Dorland, General Manager of Olenex Sàrl.
The current plant constructions happening in Brake, Germany, and this new investment in Zaandam both reflect major steps for Olenex and a significant advancement to growing our speciality oils and fats business. With these additional capabilities, we will further broaden our product development and packing capabilities to better serve our customers.

Construction will commence early 2022 and is expected to be operational in 2023.
